NECA Unveils Part 9 Jason Figure Inspired by Jason Goes to Hell
NECA is continuing its celebration of horror’s greatest slasher icon with the reveal of a brand-new Jason Voorhees action figure, and this time the company is diving into one of the strangest and most divisive chapters in the Friday the 13th franchise.
The toy giant has officially unveiled its new Part 9 Jason 7-inch scale action figure, based on the appearance made famous by Friday the 13th: The Game. While licensing restrictions prevent NECA from using the title Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, there is little doubt which version of Jason inspired the figure. From the grotesquely swollen facial features to the exposed flesh and heavily damaged appearance, this is unmistakably the Jason seen in the 1993 film.

For many fans, Part 9 Jason represents one of the most visually striking versions of the character ever put on screen.
Released in 1993, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday was the ninth entry in the franchise and the first to be released by New Line Cinema after Paramount parted ways with the series. The film took the bold decision of seemingly killing Jason during its opening sequence before introducing a supernatural body-hopping storyline that saw the killer possessing various victims throughout the movie.
The film remains one of the most controversial entries in the franchise. Some fans appreciate its willingness to try something different, while others still struggle with the fact that Jason himself spends much of the running time absent from the screen. However, even those who dislike the film often agree on one thing: Jason’s design is absolutely fantastic.
This version of the killer looks as though decades of death, resurrection and abuse have finally taken their toll. His hockey mask appears fused into his face, his skin is decaying, and his body resembles a walking corpse held together purely through hatred and supernatural determination. It’s a wonderfully disgusting look that has become increasingly popular with collectors over the years.

NECA’s figure captures that appearance beautifully. Standing in the company’s standard 7-inch scale, the figure features full articulation and includes interchangeable heads, alternate hands and an axe accessory. The release also comes packaged in NECA’s collector-friendly window box packaging, making it equally appealing to those who display their figures and those who prefer to keep them sealed.
The reveal is the latest addition to NECA’s ever-growing collection of Jason Voorhees figures. Over the years, the company has produced versions of Jason from nearly every era of the franchise, including fan-favourite releases based on Friday the 13th Part 2, Part 3, The Final Chapter, A New Beginning, Jason Lives, The New Blood, Jason Takes Manhattan and Freddy vs Jason. The company has also explored alternate interpretations through figures based on the video game adaptation and various deluxe releases.
Jason remains one of NECA’s most popular horror characters, and it isn’t difficult to understand why. Few slasher villains have enjoyed the same longevity. Since first appearing as a killer in Friday the 13th Part 2 in 1981, Jason has become one of horror’s most recognisable faces, appearing in twelve feature films, countless comics, novels, video games and merchandise lines.

That popularity has been particularly evident this week thanks to Jason’s long-awaited arrival in Dead by Daylight.
After years of speculation, requests and licensing complications, Jason Voorhees finally entered The Fog as the latest killer in Behaviour Interactive’s hugely successful multiplayer horror game. The response has been enormous. Since his launch, social media has been flooded with gameplay clips, screenshots and reactions from players eager to finally step into the hockey mask of horror’s most famous camper.
In fact, if you’ve played Dead by Daylight over the past few days, you’ve probably noticed one thing: nearly every match seems to feature Jason.

It’s hardly surprising. Horror fans have spent years waiting for the character to join the roster, and now that he’s finally available, players are making the most of it. Whether stalking survivors through the woods or introducing them to the business end of a machete, Jason has quickly become one of the game’s most popular killers. For many players, facing Jason has become an almost unavoidable part of every gaming session.
That renewed popularity makes the timing of NECA’s latest release feel perfect.
NECA Jason 9 will bring joy for fans
The Part 9 Jason figure is available for pre-order now through the NECA Store, with wider retailer availability expected soon. Shipping is currently estimated for the fourth quarter of 2026.
For collectors, Friday the 13th fans and anyone who appreciates Jason at his most hideously decomposed, this may be one of the most distinctive versions of the iconic killer that NECA has produced yet.
