NECA Reveals New Friday the 13th Ultimate Jason Figures
Horror collectors, prepare your wallets and your display shelves, because NECA have gone back to Camp Crystal Lake and dragged out even more plastic incarnations of everyone’s favourite machete-wielding mummy. Ahead of Toy Fair in New York, the company has unveiled brand new Ultimate Jason Voorhees figures, this time based specifically on Friday the 13th: The Game, in partnership with Jason Universe.
Revealed by Dread Central, the newly revealed figures include Jason from Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, lovingly referred to by fans as Part 8 and Part 9 Jason. Both designs lean into the more decayed, monstrous versions of the character, which is great news for collectors who prefer their Jason less “camp counsellor slasher” and more “walking corpse who has seen some things.” Prototypes are set to be displayed at Toy Fair, meaning close-up looks at articulation, sculpt detail, and the inevitable debate over which Jason is the best Jason will soon flood collector forums.

NECA is also showcasing the final production version of the long-awaited Savini Jason figure, based on the fan-favourite skin from the game that was designed by special effects legend Tom Savini. This fiery interpretation of Jason comes complete with a light-up head, a pitchfork, and multiple interchangeable parts, because if you are going to own a supernatural revenge monster figure, you might as well give him options. The Savini design has been especially popular among fans due to its demonic aesthetic, essentially answering the question: what if Jason Voorhees looked like he had crawled straight out of the underworld instead of a lake?
For the truly dedicated, NECA also revealed a Pamela Voorhees shrine diorama inspired by the game, which recreates the eerie altar seen in the virtual version of Crystal Lake. It is the kind of display piece that looks fantastic on a shelf and deeply concerning to anyone who walks into the room and does not immediately understand why you have a horror shrine next to your Blu-rays.

NECA Loves Jason Voorhees and Friday The 13th
Of course, this is far from NECA’s first trip into the Ultimate Jason line, which has quietly become one of the most beloved horror figure ranges on the market. Over the years, NECA has produced Ultimate versions of Jason from multiple films, including Part 2 sack-head Jason, the iconic Part 3 hockey mask Jason, Part 4: The Final Chapter Jason, Part 6 Jason Lives, and even the hulking zombie-era interpretations that fans often rank among the character’s best looks. Each release has aimed to be as screen-accurate as possible, complete with film-specific weapons, alternate masks, and accessories ranging from machetes to harpoons to whatever unfortunate object happened to be lying around when Jason needed to make a point.
The Ultimate Part 3 figure in particular became a staple for collectors thanks to its classic hockey mask design and interchangeable head sculpts, while Part 6 Jason Lives remains a fan favourite because it represents the fully undead, lightning-powered version of the character that helped cement Jason as a supernatural icon rather than just a silent woodsman with anger issues. NECA has also tackled more unusual variants, including battle-damaged looks and retro colour schemes, proving that if Jason wore it, NECA will probably sculpt it eventually.

Tying the new figures to the game makes perfect sense. Released in 2017, Friday the 13th: The Game was an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media, where players either controlled camp counsellors trying to survive or stepped into the boots of Jason himself. The game became a cult hit among horror fans for its love letter approach to the franchise, featuring multiple versions of Jason drawn directly from the films, each with unique abilities and visual designs. Sadly, licensing issues eventually halted updates, and online services were discontinued at the end of 2024, but its legacy among fans remains strong.
That is likely why merchandise based on the game still carries serious appeal. It captured nearly every era of Jason, from the classic slasher roots to the later, more supernatural incarnations, and gave fans the chance to mix and match their favourite versions in one place. Now those digital nightmares are being immortalised in plastic form, which is arguably safer than letting them roam free online again.
With additional Friday the 13th figures reportedly in the works and three Friday the 13th dates on the calendar this year, the timing could not be more perfect. Whether you prefer your Jason soggy, skeletal, flaming, or Manhattan-bound for absolutely no sensible reason, NECA’s Ultimate line continues to prove one thing: no matter how many times he is defeated on screen, Jason Voorhees will always come back. Usually with better articulation.
