Alien Isolation 2 Teased on Alien Day… and Yes, That Looks Like a Save Station
Alien Day has delivered exactly what horror gaming fans have been hoping for, even if it’s only a brief glimpse. Creative Assembly has released a short teaser titled “False Sense of Security”, giving us our first proper look at what appears to be Alien: Isolation 2.
The clip, shared via the official Alien Isolation channels, is only around 25 seconds long, but there’s plenty to unpack. We see doors opening onto what looks like a rain-soaked colony environment, instantly evoking LV-426. The aesthetic feels very much in line with Hadley’s Hope, the infamous colony from Aliens, before the teaser abruptly cuts to black. The Creative Assembly logo appears, followed by a stark “EMERGENCY” sign.
And then there’s the moment that will have longtime fans grinning nervously: what looks unmistakably like a save station machine, a direct callback to the original Alien: Isolation. For those who played it, that small detail speaks volumes. Those machines were not just a gameplay mechanic, they were moments of pure dread. You’d spot one, feel relief… and then panic as you realised the Xenomorph could still be right behind you.
This teaser may be short, but it is very clearly pointing toward Alien Isolation 2.
Creative Assembly first confirmed that a follow-up to Alien Isolation was in early development a couple of years ago, with Creative Director Al Hope noting at the time how overwhelming fan support had been since the original game’s release. That support has never really gone away. If anything, it has grown louder over the years as more players discovered just how special that first game was.
Released in 2014, Alien Isolation is widely regarded as one of the greatest horror games ever made. Set 15 years after the events of Ridley Scott’s Alien, the game follows Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, as she searches for answers about her mother’s disappearance. Her journey leads her to Sevastopol Station, a decaying space station where things have gone very, very wrong.
What set Alien Isolation apart was its commitment to fear over action. This was not a power fantasy. You were not blasting your way through hordes of enemies. You were hiding, creeping, listening, and praying that the Xenomorph did not find you. And when it did find you, you ran. Or you died. Usually the latter.

The game’s standout feature was its adaptive AI Xenomorph, which learned from your behaviour. Hide in lockers too often and it would start checking them. Use distractions repeatedly and it would begin to ignore them. It created an experience where no two encounters felt exactly the same, and where the tension never really let up.
Add to that the near-perfect recreation of the original Alien film’s retro-futuristic aesthetic, complete with chunky monitors, analogue tech, and flickering lights, and you had a horror experience that felt completely authentic to the franchise.
Alien Isolation 2 is a game we have demanded
For us at Stalk and Slash, Alien Isolation is not just a great game. It is one of the best horror experiences we have ever had. Full stop.
Yes, Grand Theft Auto VI is easily the most anticipated video game in the world right now. That is not up for debate. But for horror fans, and especially for us, Alien Isolation 2 is right there alongside it. The idea of returning to that kind of tension, with modern hardware and everything Creative Assembly has learned since, is genuinely exciting.
The teaser’s possible setting on LV-426 and the hint of Hadley’s Hope opens up all kinds of possibilities. That location is steeped in Alien lore, and placing players there could tie the sequel more directly into the events of Aliens. Whether we’ll be dealing with a single Xenomorph again or something far worse remains to be seen.

For now, details are understandably scarce. There is no release window, no confirmed story, and no official title beyond the assumption that this is the long-awaited sequel. But the tone is there. The atmosphere is there. And crucially, the fear is already creeping back in.
If this really is the beginning of Alien Isolation 2, then consider us fully on board.
Just… maybe give us a moment before we press save again.
