NECA Reveals Babyface Killer 8-Inch Clothed Figure from Happy Death Day
NECA has a long and proud tradition of making sure our shelves are populated by the worst people imaginable, and their latest announcement continues that legacy in gloriously stab-happy fashion.
The company has officially revealed a brand-new 8-inch scale clothed action figure based on the Babyface Killer from Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U, proving once again that death may be temporary — but merch is forever.

A Retro-Style Slasher for a Modern Horror Icon
The figure is part of NECA’s retro-style clothed line, which swaps sculpted plastic outfits for tailored fabric clothing inspired by vintage toy lines. Standing eight inches tall, the Babyface Killer is fully articulated and comes absolutely loaded with accessories.
Included in the box:
- Interchangeable Babyface masks
- Multiple heads
- Alternate hands
- Kitchen knives
- A baseball bat
- A sledgehammer
- Birthday cupcakes
- A pistol
Because when you think birthday celebrations, you obviously think blunt force trauma.
Release Details
The Babyface Killer is currently available to pre-order, with an expected shipping window of Q4 2026. As with most NECA pre-orders, patience is required, but horror collectors are nothing if not experienced at waiting for delayed gratification.

The Babyface Killer: A Modern Slasher Standout
The Babyface Killer mask has become one of the most recognisable slasher designs of the past decade, largely thanks to its perfect tonal contradiction: cheerful birthday imagery paired with relentless murder.
Introduced in 2017’s Happy Death Day, the killer stalks college student Tree Gelbman through a time loop in which she is murdered over and over again on her birthday. Each reset brings Tree closer to uncovering the killer’s identity, while also forcing her to confront her own flaws.
The film was a surprise hit, blending slasher tropes with comedy, character growth, and a Groundhog Day-style structure that somehow worked far better than anyone expected.

Happy Death Day 2U and Franchise Growth
Happy Death Day 2U followed in 2019 and leaned harder into science fiction, expanding the time-loop concept into alternate realities and quantum experiments. While more divisive among fans, the sequel doubled down on the series’ charm, humour, and emotional stakes.
What could have been a one-off gimmick became a surprisingly heartfelt two-film arc, with the Babyface Killer remaining central even as the narrative grew increasingly strange.
Why the Clothed Format Works
NECA’s choice to release Babyface Killer in the clothed retro format feels deliberate. The line has been used sparingly over the years, often reserved for characters who benefit from a classic slasher silhouette.
Previous clothed releases include:
- Michael Myers
- Freddy Krueger
- Chucky
- Leatherface
- Ghostface
- Pennywise
These figures are designed to evoke the feel of old-school horror toys from the 1980s and 1990s — the kind you’d find hanging on pegs while parents quietly questioned the state of society.
The cloth outfit gives Babyface Killer that same nostalgic energy, making the figure feel like it could have existed during the height of video-store-era slashers, even though the films themselves are firmly modern.
Blumhouse and NECA: A Growing Relationship
It’s also worth noting NECA’s continued support of Blumhouse horror. While not every Blumhouse film lends itself to toy form, the studio’s modern icons are increasingly earning shelf space alongside classic monsters.
The Babyface Killer joining NECA’s clothed lineup feels like a quiet acknowledgement that Happy Death Day has already achieved cult status.

A Killer Birthday Gift (For the Right Person)
For fans of the films, the accessory selection is particularly fun. The cupcakes are a sly nod to the birthday motif that defines the series, while the wide range of weapons reflects the killer’s many methods across multiple loops.
It also means collectors can pose the figure in dozens of ways — from traditional slasher menace to something that looks deeply, worryingly festive.
More NECA For Collectors
With this release, NECA once again bridges the gap between modern horror and retro collecting culture.
The Babyface Killer may not have decades of history behind them like some slasher legends, but this figure proves they’ve earned their place on the shelf and features in our Hall of Killers.
Just maybe don’t put it next to actual birthday decorations.
