Who Is Angela Franklin?
Angela Franklin started as a misunderstood goth teen — shy, theatrical, and obsessed with the occult. But one Halloween night at Hull House changed everything. After leading a séance, she becomes possessed by a demon, and what emerges is no longer Angela — but a seductive, snarling, sadistic entity hungry for souls.
Once possessed, Angela becomes a permanent host for demonic evil, returning film after film to slaughter partygoers with supernatural powers and corrupted charm. She’s not just a killer — she’s a gatekeeper between the living and the damned, dragging victims into the abyss through temptation, mutilation, and madness.
Night of the Demons (1988)

Angela invites a group of teens to an abandoned funeral home — Hull House — for a Halloween party. After performing a séance, a demon is unleashed, possessing Angela first. She transforms from a quiet loner to a gliding, demonic force with a wicked grin and a rotted soul.
She stalks and seduces victims with hypnotic dances and eerie whispers, before brutally murdering them or turning them into demons. Notable scenes include her lipstick possession gag, where a girl inserts a tube of lipstick into her breast in surreal, body-horror fashion.
Angela’s movements, makeup, and snarling voice make her one of the most unnerving supernatural villains of the 1980s.
Night of the Demons 2 (1994)

Angela returns — this time targeting a nearby Catholic girls’ school. When a group of students heads to Hull House (now sealed off with holy water), Angela reawakens and begins possessing teens again.
Her powers grow — she can teleport, levitate, shape-shift, and manipulate minds. She poses as a nun, taunts priests, and even vomits acid. Amelia Kinkade returns with full force, now portraying Angela as a gleeful demon queen, fully aware of her power and relishing every kill.
Night of the Demons 3: Demon House (1997)

Angela lures another group of misfit teens to Hull House, continuing her reign of demonic terror. The third entry dials up the gore and practical effects, but Angela remains the constant — the slinking, sardonic heart of the franchise.
By this point, she’s almost mythical in presence — her name whispered in fear, her house avoided by locals. The kills are brutal, with more possession, decapitations, and grotesque transformations.
Night of the Demons (2009 Remake)

Angela is reimagined in the remake, played by Shannon Elizabeth. The story is similar — a Halloween party at a mansion, demonic possession, and mayhem — but this Angela is more glamorous and less gothic, losing some of the original’s eerie strangeness.
While the film includes nods to the original (lipstick scene, Hull House mythology), it doesn’t quite capture the surreal menace that Amelia Kinkade brought to the role. Fans of the original still hail the ‘80s Angela as the definitive version.
