Chucky Is Leaving Dead by Daylight, But Existing Owners Can Keep Him
Chucky’s days of terrorising survivors in Dead by Daylight aren’t quite over, but anyone who hasn’t already added the foul-mouthed Good Guy to their collection is officially running out of time. Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that the Child’s Play Chapter and its associated content will be removed from sale on 24 November 2026.
The good news is that Chucky himself isn’t being removed from the game. Anyone who has unlocked The Good Guy before the deadline will retain access to him after the Child’s Play content disappears from the in-game and platform stores. Existing owners will still be able to play as Chucky, spend Bloodpoints on him, obtain his Add-Ons and increase his Prestige level, so nobody who has already bought the character is going to wake up on 24 November to find an empty Good Guy box where their Killer used to be.

One Last Chance to Buy Chucky
Before Chucky disappears from sale, players will have one final opportunity to pick him up at a discount. A 50 per cent farewell sale is being rolled out across the various platforms, although the start date differs depending on where you play. Epic Games and Xbox/Windows begin their sales on 26 October, PlayStation follows on 2 November and Steam on 10 November. Nintendo Switch players can take advantage from 26 October in North America, 27 October in Europe and 28 October in Japan, with the sales ending on 24 November.
Chucky’s cosmetics are also affected by the delisting, meaning players wanting any of his currently available outfits will need to grab them before the deadline. Existing owners will retain everything they’ve already unlocked, while Chucky’s three Prestige Cosmetics and Perk Charms will remain obtainable for those who own him. Behaviour Interactive has also confirmed that the character can continue to receive bug fixes where required following the delisting.
The situation also won’t cause problems for players using cross-progression. Previously unlocked Chucky content will remain available when accounts are connected through a Behaviour account, meaning the licensing change concerns the future sale of the content rather than taking purchases away from existing players.

What Happens to Chucky’s Perks?
Chucky’s three perks aren’t disappearing from Dead by Daylight either. Players who already own the character will retain them through his Bloodweb with their existing names and flavour text, while those who don’t own Chucky will instead be able to unlock equivalent versions through the General perk pool.
As part of that change, Hex: Two Can Play will become Hex: Eye For An Eye, Friends ‘Til the End will become One Track Mind, and Batteries Included will become Gaining Steam. Achievements associated with Chucky will similarly become generic rather than character-specific, while completed achievements and existing progress towards them will be retained.
Chucky originally entered The Fog in November 2023 as The Good Guy, bringing one of horror cinema’s most recognisable killers to Dead by Daylight. His tiny stature, third-person perspective and considerable talent for shouting abuse at people helped make him one of the game’s more distinctive licensed additions, but licensing agreements have once again demonstrated that even supernatural murderers have to worry about paperwork.

For existing owners, Chucky isn’t really leaving Dead by Daylight at all. He’ll remain available to play and continue chasing survivors long after November. It’s everyone who has spent the last few years thinking they’ll get around to buying him eventually who needs to pay attention, because after 24 November, the Good Guy is coming off the shelf.
