Arrow Video’s May 2026 Line Up is Led by Nightbreed in 4K
Arrow Video has mapped out May 2026 and it is the kind of month that makes your wallet quietly leave the room and lock the door behind it. For UK collectors, the headline is very clear. Clive Barker’s cult fantasy horror Nightbreed is getting a Limited Edition 4K UHD release on 25 May 2026, complete with both the theatrical cut and the director’s cut presented in 4K with Dolby Vision.
Nightbreed has always been one of those films that feels like it came from a different dimension, which is fitting, because a large chunk of it is about a hidden subterranean refuge called Midian where monsters live because humanity has been doing what humanity does best, panicking and ruining everything. Arrow’s own synopsis lays out the essentials. Aaron Boone, played by Craig Sheffer, is drawn to Midian while his psychiatrist Dr Decker, played by David Cronenberg, sets him up to take the fall for a string of murders. It is a story about outsiders and persecution wrapped in leather, latex, and nightmare fuel, and it has only grown in reputation over the years after an initial release that was hindered by studio interference and marketing that did not really understand what it had.

Arrow’s Limited Edition set leans into that long road to redemption by putting both major versions front and centre. You get two discs, restorations of both cuts, Dolby Vision presentation, original lossless stereo and an optional DTS HD MA 5.1 option, plus English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. It also comes with newly commissioned artwork by Gilles Vranckx, a collector’s booklet featuring writing by Mark Salisbury and Barker archivists Phil and Sarah Stokes, and a double sided fold out poster. In other words, Midian is open for business, and Arrow have brought a very expensive gift shop. Order HERE.
Before Nightbreed arrives, Arrow’s UK slate starts strong on 11 May 2026 with Mona Lisa in a Limited Edition 4K UHD release. This is Neil Jordan’s 1986 British crime drama, with Bob Hoskins as George, a chauffeur working for a gangland figure played by Michael Caine, and Cathy Tyson as the high class prostitute George is tasked with transporting. Arrow’s overview highlights just how decorated Hoskins’ performance became, noting he picked up major Best Actor wins including Cannes, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe. On the disc side, Arrow specify a brand new 4K restoration from the original camera negative approved by Neil Jordan, with Dolby Vision, restored mono audio, and extras including an audio commentary with Hoskins and Jordan plus interviews with Jordan, writer David Leland, and producer Stephen Woolley. It is not a horror title, but it is absolutely the sort of grimy, character driven British cinema Arrow collectors live for. Order HERE.

Then on 18 May 2026, Arrow bring out the really big guns with The Dollars Trilogy Limited Edition 4K UHD box set. Arrow frame it as the most comprehensive edition they have ever assembled, with all three Sergio Leone films restored in 4K from the original negatives, and including multiple cuts of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The set covers A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and the product description gives a neat refresher on each film’s basic setup, from Eastwood’s nameless stranger walking into a border town power struggle, to the uneasy alliance of rival bounty hunters, to the operatic Civil War era race for buried gold. If you have ever wanted to hear the phrase “one more box set” spoken like a threat, this is the week it happens. Order HERE.

For completeness, Arrow also have new releases announced for the United States and Canada in May, including Blue Thunder, G.I. Samurai, and a Limited Edition 4K UHD for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. That is nice for them, genuinely, but the UK line up is the one doing the heavy lifting this month, with a trio that covers cult fantasy horror, British crime classic, and one of cinema’s most iconic western trilogies in new 4K restorations.

If you are planning a May pre order strategy, the sensible approach is to pretend you are being responsible, then buy Nightbreed anyway, because you cannot just leave Midian closed once Arrow have polished the keys.
