Eli Roth Expands The Horror Section With New Slasher Film Stiletto
Eli Roth is not slowing down. After launching his genre-focused banner The Horror Section, the filmmaker has been building a horror-first ecosystem spanning film, television, games and podcasts. The company has already stepped into distribution, bringing Joe Begos’s Jimmy and Stiggs to cinemas and following that with the found footage title Dream Eater. Now, according to a report on Deadline, it has added another project to the slate, the neon-drenched slasher Stiletto, which is currently in post production and gearing up for release.

What Is Stiletto About
Directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr., whose previous credits include The Retaliators, Stiletto is based on a story by actress and performer Gigi Gustin, who also stars in the lead role. Gustin drew on her own experience working in the dancer world, giving the film an insider perspective that sets it apart from more surface-level takes on similar settings.
The story unfolds one year after the murder of Lyric’s older sister. Lyric, played by Gustin, refuses to grieve quietly. She sets out for revenge while trying to protect fellow dancers from a masked killer targeting strip clubs. The tone promises glossy style, pulpy attitude and a classic slasher engine built around a central heroine designed to carry a potential franchise. That mix of sex appeal, grit and vengeance lines up perfectly with the exploitation-leaning energy Roth has championed throughout his career.

Cast and Creative Team
The supporting cast blends cult favourites and familiar faces. Charlotte McKinney appears alongside Colleen Camp, known for roles in Clue and American Hustle. They are joined by Meghan Carrasquillo, Stephen Blackehart and Hannah Hueston, rounding out an ensemble that leans into both horror credibility and grindhouse flair.
Behind the scenes, genre fans will notice another key name. The Stiletto Killer’s mask was designed by Jason Baker, the effects artist responsible for The Grabber’s look in The Black Phone. That connection suggests Stiletto is aiming for strong slasher iconography, with a killer design built to stick in the memory rather than blend into the crowd.
Roth produces alongside Gustin and Hearse Productions, with The Horror Section team and Media Capital Technologies in executive roles. International sales are being handled by Scatena and Rosner Films, pointing to a push beyond niche genre circuits toward a broader global horror audience.

Why Stiletto Fits The Horror Section Brand
Roth has spoken enthusiastically about the film’s energy, Gustin’s performance and Gonzalez Jr.’s direction. Gustin has described the production as an all-in indie experience, driven by passion and resourcefulness. That combination of scrappy filmmaking and seasoned genre backing often defines cult slashers that overperform with audiences.
With Stiletto joining The Horror Section slate and Roth’s own Ice Cream Man also in development, the company is positioning itself as a haven for unapologetic, filmmaker-driven horror. If Stiletto delivers on its promise of neon visuals, practical bloodshed and a fierce new final girl, it could land exactly where mid-budget theatrical slashers have been missing in recent years.
